How tensions with Iran could escalate

In the aftermath of U.S. airstrike against Gen Suleimani, SFS Executive Director Joseph Humire mentions in a Telemundo article that:

“Despite their threats, Iran doesn’t want to carry out any kind of aggression against the United States they think they’re going to lose. Iran almost always loses in the stages of conventional wars, so they prefer to attack using peripheral groups such as militias, terrorists, rebels and other organizations.”

Después de la muerte de Gen. Suleimani de un bombardeo estadounidense Joseph Humire afirmó por Telemundo que:

“A pesar de sus amenazas, Irán no quiere efectuar ningún tipo de agresión contra Estados Unidos en la que piensen que van a perder. Irán casi siempre pierde en los escenarios de guerras convencionales, por eso prefieren atacar usando grupos periféricos como milicias, terroristas, rebeldes y otro tipo de organizaciones.”
